Hotels Low-Cost

As is the case with the airlines that operate on the basis of cost / low price, also came a new concept but this time applied to the hospitality sector.

The first hotel of its kind was built in Oporto,Portugal. This is the Star Inn hotel located in the former headquarters of the company Soares da Costa, has been renovated specifically for this purpose. Even the building was originally designed with the aim of reducing costs, and always combined with an avant-garde design.

With a team of only ten people, the booking system is very similar to that used by airlines low cost. The greater the advance booking, and taking into account the occupation at the time, the lower the price.

The location was also another important factor. The hotel is located near the airport and along the ring, and the Hospital of St. John and the Faculty of Engineering, University of Porto.
