Buying an electric Car? Fashion or future?

There are already incentives in Portugal for the purchase of an electric car, but will only be available in late 2010.

 
What are the advantages of purchasing a car like this?
 

First, the exemption of the Single Tax movement and tax on vehicles, according to the Electric Mobility Scheme, approved by the Council of Ministers on 3 December 2009. So by 2012, will be a number of fiscal and financial incentives for companies and individuals to adhere to the trams.
